In response to the pandemic, South Miami Recovery has modified our approach to treatment. The health and safety of our patients and staff remains our highest priority during the COVID-19 outbreak. Our team has worked tirelessly to create a clean, safe environment in which to recover. We have outlined our policies on telehealth, cleanliness, and in-person services below. If you have any questions that are not answered by this page, please contact us today.
Telehealth Services are Available
Due to COVID-19, our outpatient addiction treatment services are now available through telehealth. Through our HIPAA-compliant platform, you may now access South Miami Recovery meetings and one-on-one sessions from the comfort of your own home.
Services now available through telehealth include evaluations and assessments, individual sessions, couples counseling, mindfulness and guided meditation, group meetings, family programming, and intensives. For more information, please visit our telehealth page.
Policies for In-Person Services
In some instances, in-person services may still be necessary during COVID-19. We have modified our center policies in accordance with CDC guidelines. All staff members and patients must pass a temperature check before entering the premises. Additionally, we require that everyone wear a mask and adhere to the recommended six feet of social distancing.
We have also modified our cleaning schedule, ensuring that all high-touch surfaces (such as doorknobs, desks, and light switches) are disinfected and fully sanitized on a regular basis. By maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, we hope to provide a safe environment in which to recover from addiction.
Addiction Treatment During COVID-19
South Miami Recovery is (and will continue to be) open for treatment. Our aim is to provide effective, evidence-based care to patients during these uncertain times. We will continue to address new concerns with patient safety as our top priority. Please contact us with any additional questions about our policies during COVID-19.
