The Miami Recovery Community

Once you’ve completed treatment, recovery has only just begun. Sustained sobriety depends on continued commitment from you, as well as ongoing support from your peers. We ask our patients to involve themselves in the South Miami recovery community as soon as possible. Research indicates that those who integrate themselves into support groups achieve better outcomes. We’ve compiled links to some of our recommended local meetings below. Please browse them and select the program that meets your needs.

South Miami Support Groups

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)

AA is the largest of the 12-Step programs. Hundreds of local meetings are held each week, and AA can be found nationwide. Membership to 12-Step programs is essential to sustained recovery. Visit https://aamiamidade.org/meetings to find a meeting near you.

Narcotics Anonymous (NA)

NA is the 12-Step program for those whose addiction was drugs, rather than alcohol. Like AA, NA is a nationwide program with hundreds of meetings in the Miami-Dade area. Visit https://www.namiami.org/online/ to find a meeting that fits your schedule.

Al-Anon Family Groups

Al-Anon is a support group for the family members of addicts and alcoholics. Because addiction is a family disease, family members are encouraged to seek their own support and recovery as well. Find a family meeting at http://alanonsofla.org/meetings/?tsml-day=any today.
